Conference on Computing Paradigms and Bio-informatics (CPBI 2012) 

Conference on Computing Paradigms and Bio-informatics(CPBI 2012) organised by School of Computer Sciences was inaugurated by Prof.(Dr.) Rajan Gurukkal, Honourable Vice Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi University on 17th January, 2012. Prof.(Dr.) Achuth Sankar S.Nair, Director, State Inter University Center of excellence in Bio-Informatics, University of Kerala delivered the keynote address on “Computing in New Biology”. Dr. R Vijayakumar, Professor & HoD, School of Computer Sciences presided over the function. Prof. Mahesh .C, FISAT, Angamaly, Dr. Radhakrishnan E K, School of Bio Science, Mahatma Gandhi University and Prof. Sajimon Abraham,  School of Management studies ,  Mahatma Gandhi University felicitated the conference. Mrs. Bindu V. R, Associate Professor, School of Computer Sciences delivered the welcome speech and Mrs. Anuj Mohammed, Associate Professor, School of Computer Sciences proposed vote of thanks. 

Technical Sessions included “High Performance Computing Paradigms”, by Prof. Mahesh C. FISAT, Angamaly 

Research papers from various areas of computing and communication were presented in the conference. The paper presentation sessions were chaired by experts including Prof.(Dr.) Achuth Sankar S.Nair, Director, State Inter University Center of excellence in Bio-Informatics,University of Kerala, Prof. M. T. Rajappan Pillai, RIT, Kottayam, Prof. Sajimon Abraham,    School of Management Studies, Mahatma Gandhi University and Prof. (Dr.) Gladston Raj, Govt. Arts & Science College , Nedumangad, TVM.

 The conference concluded on 18th with a valedictory session presided over by Dr. R Vijayakumar, Professor & HoD, School of Computer Science. Prof.(Dr.) Rajan Varughese, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi University delivered the valedictory address and gave away the certificates. Mrs. K P Pushpalatha, Assistant Professor, School of Computer Sciences proposed vote of thanks.
