Admission Procedure

The School offers courses leading to M.Sc cand
Ph.D degrees in Computer Science. 

ADMISSION to M.Sc.

Admission to the M.Sc. course is based on performance of the candidates at three sections levels viz, the qualifying exam, the entrance exam and the interview.   
  
Student's with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Application and having minimum 55 percent marks are eligible to appear for the entrance exam. 
         
50 percent weightage is given to the qualifying exam.

The entrance examination is administered by the School and is conducted simultaneously in different centres depending on the strength of the candidates.

The entrance exam is objective in nature and consists of two parts-one based on Computer Science(Degree Level) and the other based on mental ability/logical reasoning. Marks allotted for each part are equal and there is penalty for each wrong answer. Questions in the first part measure the candidate's knowledge in Computer Science and questions in the second part are intended to measure the candidate's general intelligence, aptitude towards formulating a solution for a descriptive problem, analytical ability, logical reasoning and mental ability.

40 percent weightage is given to entrance exam.

The toppers in the entrance exam are called for an interview with the selection committee of the school. 

10 percent weightage is given for the interview.

The final rank of a candidate is calculated from his/her marks in the qualifying examination, entrance examination and interview.

Reservation rules are strictly observed in the Admission procedure.  

ADMISSION TO Ph.D

The admission procedure is as per “Revised Regulations for Ph.D Registration and Award of the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy, 2010”
